McCorkle came into the UFC in 2010, immediately making a name for himself with a victory over Mark Hunt at UFC 119. With a 10-0 record, McCorkle was moved up to the semi-main event of UFC 124, where he was stopped by Stefan Struve in the first round. He then lost to Christian Morecraft, and was subsequently cut. He's 2-0 since, and has his eye on a return to the UFC.
His opponent on the 15th will be Justin Grizzard, who has a 7-13 record and is coming in off a loss to Abe Wagner. The fight will be contested in the Super Heavyweight division. McCorkle vs. Grizzard is the new main event for the card. The original main event, War Machine vs. Gideon Ray, was cancelled due to injuries suffered in training to both men.
Also on the card will be Carson Beebe (seen last week on the debut of The Ultimate Fighter) and Bellator veteran Josh Shockley. The complete card follows:
