It was an unfortunate day for a few fighters across all the major organizations. UFC Live 4 lost and gained a fighter, Strikeforce's June 18th card lost a valued prospect but might have gained another fight in a different division, and Bellator 44 lost one half of a pivotal welterweight battle. Let's run through the changes quickly.

According to Sherdog, Matt Riddle was forced out of a fight with TJ Grant ant UFC Live 4 on June 26th for "undisclosed reasons". A replacement has been found to face Grant though, one that's probably pretty happy to be on this particular card: Charlie "The Spaniard" Brenneman.

A native Pennsylvanian, Brenneman will receive a homecoming of sorts when he takes on Grant. The AMA Fight Club fighter is a three-time UFC veteran, beginning his Octagon career last year with a unanimous decision victory over Jason High. The 30-year-old was then knocked out by fellow wrestler Johny Hendricks four months later at UFC 117, but he rebounded from only the second loss of his career by outpointing Brazilian Amilcar Alves at UFC Fight Night 23 in January.

Over in the land of Strikeforce, one of their biggest prospect battles of the year fell apart today when undefeated Shane Del Rosario (11-0) was involved in a car accident, forcing him out of his June 18th fight with fellow undefeated fighter Daniel Cormier (7-0). An interesting battle at lightweight might take it's place on the card, says MMAWeekly:

MMAWeekly.com sources said that Strikeforce has not yet decided if they will try to line Cormier up with another opponent or replace the fight altogether. MMAJunkie.com reported that a lightweight bout between KJ Noons and Jorge Masvidal is likely to replace the heavyweight bout. MMAWeekly.com sources said that is one option, but that the promotion has yet to make a final decision.

And finally, Bellator 44 has seen the loss of former Bellator welterweight champion Lyman Good due to a hamstring injury according to MMAWeekly. Good was scheduled to face Bellator mainstay Dan Hornbuckle in one of the feature bouts on the card, which would have been a qualifying match for Bellator's season 5 welterweight tournament.
