In the wake of several releases, the UFC has decided to bring in a new fighter, signing Brandon Thatch to a multi-fight contract. Sources confirmed the news with MMAjunkie.com recently.

Thatch is 9-1 in his career, including an eighth straight victory over Mike Rhodes earlier this year. He trains out of the Grudge Training Center in Denver.

All eight of those wins have come in the first round, with five of the knockout variety and three submission triumphs. His lone loss came in Strikeforce in 2008 via decision to Brandon Magana.

No word yet on when Thatch will debut inside the Octagon.

Interesting signing we have here, hopefully he'll be just as explosive in the UFC as he's been in his last 9 wins.
