After setting North American MMA attendance and gate revenue records this past April, the UFC is returning to Toronto, Canada, on December 10th for UFC 140, according to a Tuesday report by ESPN.com's Brett Okamoto:

Toronto held its first UFC event in April, eight months after Ontario became the sixth Canadian jurisdiction to sanction mixed martial arts. The event, UFC 129, was held at the Rogers Centre and remains the only stadium show in company history.

Headlined by a welterweight title fight featuring Canadian star Georges St. Pierre, UFC 129 shattered North American MMA gate and attendance records, drawing a crowd of 55,724 and a $12.075 million gate.

However, UFC 140 will not be held in the massive Rogers Centre but the Air Canada Centre, the city's largest arena and home to the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs and NBA's Toronto Raptors. The venue lists seating capacity at just under 20,000.

No fights were announced for the card.

The UFC's debut in Toronto drew nearly 56,000 spectators for a gate just north of $12 million. This will be the organization's second straight year with three events north of the American border and their first calendar year with no Montreal appearances since they started putting on events there in 2008.
