Alex Caceres and Jim Hettes met on the Facebook stream of the undercard of UFC on Versus 5. Caceres had a lot to prove after not impressing since his time on The Ultimate Fighter.

After a sloppy opening by both men it was Hettes on his back looking for leg locks but getting beaten up by Caceres. Eventually, Hettes managed to get a takedown to end up on top before Caceres swept to top position. The round was fought at a fast pace with both men spending some time in top position and both men threatening with submissions off their back.

Hettes came out and landed a big throw to start the second round. He quickly moved to a d'arce choke which Caceres worked out of. Hettes would also work to the back where he was unable to finish and passed up some side chokes that appeared wide open. Hettes was on the attack all round before eventually catching Caceres in a rear naked choke during a takedown attempt.

Hettes came through as the heavy favorite after a rocky first round and is now 9-0 with 9 submission victories.
