It is very rare that a fighter gets to retire on his own terms in fight sports. We've seen Ken Shamrock and Jens Pulver continue to fight because they rely on fighting to put food on the table for their families. Lytle got to walk away from the sport with his family in the cage with him. Good luck to him in the fture.
Dan Hardy is now in a very weird situation. He is 4-4- in the UFC and has dropped four fights in a row. He was able to survive multiple submission attempts from Georges St. Pierre and take the champ to a decision. Tonight he was submitted by Chris Lytle. I don't believe he'll be back in the UFC after this loss.
Good luck Chris Lytle, that was one of the best fights of your career and you went out on top. You're going out like Frank Sinatra - your way.
