ESPN has helpfully compiled highlights from last night's UFC on Versus 4 headliner, the incredible see-saw brawl between heavyweights Cheick Kongo and Pat Barry. The two former professional kickboxers put a hurting on one another until Kongo finally stopped Barry cold with two right hands. Enjoy.
According to CompuStrike Barry outlanded Kongo 17 strikes to 12, but it was Kongo's final two punches that really mattered, sending Barry crashing to the canvas out cold. Barry had appeared to be in control of the bout up to that point, hurting Kongo with a series of overhand rights that dropped the Frenchman to the mat twice.
Barry got too anxious to get the finish and charged forward at the end with his hands down and giving no thought whatsoever to self-defense. Kongo made him pay for his foolhardy attack by catching him coming in with two right hands in a row that did Barry in.
