UFC on FX 4 reportedly headed to Revel Atlantic City on June 22
June's UFC on FX 4 event, which features a newly announced five-round headliner between lightweights Clay Guida and Gray Maynard, reportedly will take place at Revel Atlantic City in New Jersey.
"The Press of Atlantic City" today reported that the resort's 5,500-seat arena will play host to the June 22 card.
UFC officials told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) no venue has been finalized, but a source close to the event said Revel Atlantic City is the desired location.
UFC on FX 4's main card, including the Guida vs. Maynard fight, airs on FX, and FUEL TV is likely to carry the prelims.
Currently, only the headliner has been announced for the show.
MMAjunkie.com previously passed along news of Atlantic City playing host, though the UFC hasn't formally announced the venue.
Revel Atlantic City doesn't officially open until May, though "preview" openings begin next month. The hotel, casino and spa features approximately 1,400 guest rooms and is located oceanside. Revel is the tallest structure in Atlantic City.
UFC on FX 4 marks the UFC's first event in Atlantic City since 2005's UFC 53 event, which featured Andrei Arlovski scoring a first-round TKO win over Justin Eilers to defend his interim heavyweight title. New Jersey has hosted 11 UFC events in total, though recent ones have taken place in Newark and East Rutherford.
