The final UFC on FOX event of 2012 will take place Dec. 8, FOX officials today announced.
A host city and venue are not official for the show, which serves as UFC on FOX 5.
As part of its seven-year deal with the FOX family of channels that officially kicked off this year, the FOX network airs four annual UFC on FOX shows.
Six days prior to UFC on FOX 5, FOX airs a "UFC's Road to the Octagon" special. The one-hour special, which highlights the card's top matchups, airs opposite local NFL on FOX single-header coverage (3-4 p.m. or 4:30-5:30 p.m. ET).
The UFC's past UFC on FOX events have taken place in Anaheim, Calif. (November), Chicago (January) and East Rutherford, N.J. (May). The next, UFC on FOX 4, takes place Aug. 4 in Los Angeles.
The FOX-televised cards usually include a four-fight main card following prelims on FUEL TV.
Probably the last Fox show of this year, so hopefully they go out with a bang and put on a really good card. Especially seeing as half of the Summer cards have been ruined due to injury.
