Tickets for the UFC's first-ever event on network television go on sale next week.

"UFC on FOX 1: Velasquez vs. Dos Santos" takes place Nov. 12 at Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. The night's main event, which will be broadcast during a one-hour FOX special, sees UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez (9-0 MMA, 7-0 UFC) defend his title against top contender Junior Dos Santos (13-1 MMA, 7-0 UFC).

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, Sept. 16, at 1 p.m. ET (10 a.m. PT local time).

However, pre-sale periods are set for UFC Fight Club members (Wednesday, Sept. 14, at 1 p.m. ET) and UFC.com e-newsletter subscribers (Thursday, Sept. 15, at 1 p.m. ET).

In addition to the headliner, the evening's preliminary card sees high-energy lightweights Clay Guida (29-11 MMA, 9-5 UFC) and Ben Henderson (14-2 MMA, 2-0 UFC) meet in a key contest in the 155-pound division.

UFC officials have yet to announce broadcast plans for the evening's preliminary card.

While the full bout list is still being assembled, the current UFC on FOX 1 fight card currently includes:MAIN CARD (FOX)
  • Champ Cain Velasquez vs. Junior Dos Santos (for heavyweight title)
PRELIMINARY CARD
  • Clay Guida vs. Ben Henderson
  • Pablo Garza vs. Dustin Poirier
  • Norifumi "Kid" Yamamoto vs. Darren Uyenoyama
  • Ricardo Lamas vs. Cub Swanson
I assume this show is going to sell out quickly.

Since featherweight apparently wasn't the answer, "Bruce Leroy" is going to give bantamweight a go.

UFC officials today announced that "The Ultimate Fighter 12" cast member Alex Caceres (5-4 MMA, 0-2 UFC) will get a third chance at a first octagon win, as "Bruce Leroy" drops to 135 pounds to face Cole Escovedo (17-8 MMA, 0-2 UFC), who is also winless in two UFC appearances.

The pair now meets at UFC on FOX 1.

Featuring a heavyweight title fight between current champion Cain Velasquez and top contender Junior Dos Santos, UFC on FOX 1 takes place Nov. 12 in Anaheim, Calif. The evening's main event airs on FOX, but broadcast plans for the preliminary card have yet to be determined.

"Both bantamweights had non-stop action fights in their last outings and are sure to do the same Nov. 12," UFC president Dana White stated.

Caceres competed on "TUF 12" as a lightweight but was eliminated in the semifinals by eventual runner-up Michael Johnson. Caceres then dropped to 145 pounds for his official UFC debut, which came in a submission loss to Mackens Semerzier at UFC Fight Night 24.

Caceres returned at this past August's UFC on Versus 5, where he dropped a high-paced affair via submission to Jimmy Hettes.

Meanwhile, Escovedo overcame a severe staph infection that sidelined him for nearly three years to earn a 6-2 record on the regional scene. The mark was good enough to earn him a UFC 130 debut, where he lost a one-side unanimous decision to Brazilian prospect Renan Barao. Escovedo then returned at this past month's UFC 135 event, where he was defeated via second-round TKO by Takeya Mizugaki.

The bout is likely a must-win for both fighters.
