UFC on FOX 10 lineup set with 12 bouts, main card official with four fights
The four-fight main card for UFC on FOX 10 is official for later this month, and the full card is set with 12 bouts.
UFC on FOX 10, which takes place Jan. 25 in Chicago, features a main event lightweight contenders fight between former UFC champion Benson Henderson (19-3 MMA, 7-1 UFC) and former Strikeforce champ Josh Thomson (20-5 MMA, 3-1 UFC).
The event takes place at United Center in the nation’s third-largest city and will be the third straight January FOX card for the UFC in Chicago. FOX carries the main card live at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT) following a six-fight preliminary card on FOX Sports 1 (5 p.m. ET) and two prelims on the UFC’s new Fight Pass digital network (4 p.m. ET).
In addition to the night’s main event, UFC on FOX 10 features a co-main event heavyweight bout between Stipe Miocic (10-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) and Gabriel Gonzaga (16-7 MMA, 11-6 UFC), a lightweight fight between Donald Cerrone (21-6 MMA, 8-3 UFC) and Adriano Martins (25-6 MMA, 1-0 UFC); and the main card opens with Darren Elkins (17-3 MMA, 7-2 UFC), from nearby Northwest Indiana, in a featherweight bout against Jeremy Stephens (22-9 MMA, 9-8 UFC).
The FOX Sports 1 portion of the prelims includes Milwaukee-based flyweight Sergio Pettis (10-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) against Alex Caceres (9-5 MMA, 4-3 UFC); Pettis teammate Pascal Krauss (11-2 MMA, 2-2 UFC) against Russian newcomer Adam Khaliev (6-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC); and, fighting for the first time since an interim bantamweight title loss to Renan Barao, Northwest Indiana’s Eddie Wineland (20-9-1 MMA, 2-3 UFC) meets Yves Jabouin (19-8 MMA, 4-2 UFC).
