UFC Hall-of-Famer Matt Hughes (45-8) wants to go out on a win before he retires. The legendary welterweight was on a three fight win streak until he met up with B.J. Penn in Nov. 2010.

In this interview with Inside MMA’s Ron Kruck, Hughes talks about where he is in his career:

“I’ll be real honest. I’m 37-years-old. My competitors are around 28-years-old. It’s about time for Matt Hughes to find something else to do. these young guys are just that, they’re young, they’re hungry. I dont have a whole lot of fights left in me. I don’t want to be that guy that goes out there an is not competing with his opponent.â€

Hughes has not fought yet in 2011 and says he would like to fight at least once or twice and will probably return in late summer or early fall.
