UFC champ Ronda Rousey to appear on Monday’s ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ on ABC
UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, fresh from a starring role as a coach on Season 18 of “The Ultimate Fighter,†is hitting the promotional circuit once again.
On Thursday, Rousey appeared in the studio for the NFL on FOX, and on Monday, she’ll make a stop at “Jimmy Kimmel Live!â€
The show airs at 11:35 p.m. ET on ABC and tapes at El Capitan Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, Calif. Host Jimmy Kimmel has been at the helm of the program for more than 10 years.
Since winning the Strikeforce women’s bantamweight title against Miesha Tate in 2012, then defending the title and subsequently becoming the first female fighter in the UFC, Rousey has exploded in the mainstream. She’s had stories about her in Sports Illustrated, been on the cover of ESPN The Magazine’s famed “Body Issue,†co-hosted an episode of “TMZ,†been on with Conan O’Brien and Jim Rome, and soon will be seen on the big screen with roles in the next “Fast and Furious†sequel and “Expendables 3.â€
Rousey coached opposite Tate on “TUF 18,†which had its regular season wrap up this past Wednesday on FOX Sports 1. She and Tate each have two fighters represented at Saturday’s TUF 18 Finale looking to become the next “Ultimate Fighter.†The coaches and heated rivals then rematch in the co-main event of UFC 168 on Dec. 28 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
