According to Dave Meltzer of MMAFighting.com, UFC 153: Silva vs. Bonnar will have the biggest pay-per-view buy rate for any of the previous four Brazilian shows. The card took place earlier this month from Rio de Janeiro.Meltzer reports that the card will brought in anywhere from 340,000 to 410,000 buys, industry sources are estimating. The card featured UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva defeating Stephan Bonnar in a non-title fight main event.

Also, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira took part on the card, stopping Dave Herman. Jon Fitch, Glover Teixeira and Demian Maia all earned wins, as well.

Wanderlei Silva and Rich Franklin competed in the main event of a card from Brazil earlier this year, as did UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes

Not really bad numbers at. That's a little higher than i thought it would do, but the card was actually really good and delivered.

Silva definitely sells.

He's one of those fighters that has a huge following, whether they love him or hate him.. he's also one of those fighters who people that hate him will spend the $60 to see him get knocked out, which will be never.

Decent result considering the quality of the challenger in the mainevent. Silva is one that will always get a decent number of buys no matter what and then the level just depends on who the challenger is.
