Following a story.

Megan Olivi of Heavy.com caught up with Dana White following yesterday's UFC 137 press conference in Las Vegas. At the press conference Dana announced that Nick Diaz would no longer be fighting for the UFC welterweight belt at UFC 137. Instead, Carlos Condit would be stepping in for the fighter from the 209 to challenge Georges St. Pierre. The announcement took everyone off guard, including Diaz's manager and coach Cesar Gracie who called Dana in the middle of the press conference.

Olivi opens the interview asking about the possibility of instituting fines for blowing off media events. Dana has thought about it but in the case of Nick Diaz, the punishment was justified. He then continues to talk about the actual match up between Condit and St. Pierre. Olivi then switches the subject to UFC on Fox and why the heavyweight title fight between Cain Velasquez and Junior Dos Santos was chosen as the main event for this first basic cable event. She also attempts to get more information about the broadcast possibilities for the rest of the card. She closes the interview asking if John Fitch could possibly face B.J. Penn, which Dana side-steps. It's a solid concise interview covering a slew of topics.
