Donald Cerrone picked up his fourth straight win in the UFC with a dominant submission victory over Dennis Siver in a lightweight bout. Siver never got anything going and Cerrone owned him on the feet, hurting him twice before dropping him. Once he went down, Cerrone jumped on his back, trapped his arm, and slapped on a rear naked choke that earned the tap from Siver.

Cerrone picked up a $75,000 bonus for submission of the night and will rocket up the lightweight rankings with the impressive win. The submission came at the 2:22 mark of the first round. The lightweight bout was the second fight on the UFC 137 televised portion of the card, and was shown live on Spike TV.

What was the high spot of this fight?

The head kick from Cerrone that had Siver doing the big wiggle on the feet before hitting the deck.

Where do these guys go from here?

Cerrone moves into the upper tier of the lightweight division with the win, his fourth in nine months in the UFC. He's also earned three bonuses in that span totaling $215,000. He says he'd like to pick up a fifth fight in December too if he could, which is amazing for a UFC fighter. He has discussed dropping to 145 and fighting Nam Phan, whom he feels disrespected his best friend Leonard Garcia, but that is unlikely. A bout with Joe Lauzon or Nate Diaz sounds pretty cool to me.

Siver had won seven of his last eight fights before this, and had inched into the top 10 at lightweight, so this is a serious setback for him. Siver could face the loser of the Gleison Tibau vs. Rafael dos Anjos fight that is scheduled for UFC 139, or maybe even Evan Dunham.

Watch it now, later, or never?

Now. This was the most dominant performance of the night and likely the best of Cerrone's career. It should be second on your list of UFC 137 fights to watch (behind the main event).
