The countdown special for
UFC 136 debuts on Spike TV tonight at 11 p.m. ET/PT, and Bloody Elbow is the place to talk about it. The show will feature segments on the main and co-main event, and likely something on the other marquee matchup on the pay-per-view. The card features two title fights on top, with
Frankie Edgar defending his UFC lightweight title against
Gray Maynard, and
Jose Aldo defending his UFC featherweight title against
Kenny Florian. The card also features a probable number one contenders bout at middleweight between
Chael Sonnen and
Brian Stann.
Edgar and Maynard have met twice before, with Maynard winning the first bout by decision back in 2008 and the two men going to a draw in one of the best fights of 2011 at
UFC 125 in January. Aldo will be defending his belt for the second time in the UFC, after defeating
Mark Hominick by decision at
UFC 129. Kenny Florian earned his title shot by defeating Aldo's teammate
Diego Nunes at
UFC 131 in June in his featherweight debut.
Tune in tonight and share your thoughts on the countdown special.
