The main event sees Jon "Bones" Jones attempt to defend his belt for the first time against former champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson. Jones won the title by finishing Mauricio Rua at UFC 128, while Jackson has has gone 4-1 since losing his title to Forrest Griffin at UFC 86. The co-main event will feature former UFC welterweight champion and UFC Hall of Famer Matt Hughes returning for the first time since he was finished in 21 seconds by B.J. Penn to take on Diego "The Dream" Sanchez. Two heavyweight bouts and a lightweight bout fill out the main card.
