Talk about a predictable yet surprising finish. Luis Cane was once considered a top light heavyweight prospect when he entered the UFC. He then got knocked out by Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Cyrille Diabate in back to back fights. He entered tonight riding a win over Eliot Marshall and looked to regain some momentum at 205. His opponent was the heavy handed undefeated Bulgarian fighter Stanislav Nedkov, a veteran of Sengoku.

The fight went as most expected. Cane left himself open to constant overhand right hands that kept landing flush to the head. He'd respond with crisp punches but none that would land with any sort of power or devastation. He was caught with a heavy strike and dropped to the ground. Nedkov followed up with a flurry of punches and the fight was over. For Nedkov, this was a great win over a name opponent in the UFC's light heavyweight division. He extends his overall record to 12-0 with 10 wins by stoppage. Cane drops to 4-4 in the UFC and 11-4 overall. He needs to reevaluate his current situation and figure out what he wants to do as a fighter.
