Thiago Tavares looked dominant in picking up a second-round TKO victory over Spencer Fisher. Tavares controlled the first round with takedowns and while Fisher tried to use the cage to get back up, Tavares was relentless and put it to Fisher. The second round was much of the same, with Fisher in a seated position with his back to the cage just eating punch after punch from Tavares. Finally Tavares was able to get him away from the cage, mount him, and pound him out just past the halfway point of the second round.

Tavares asked to fight more in his post-fight interview, due to only getting two fights a year over the past three years. It was his first TKO in 11 fights in the UFC. The fight was the second of two bouts that were a part of the Spike TV portion of the UFC 134 broadcast.

What was the high spot of this fight?

Spencer sitting up with his back to the cage eating punch after punch was something you don't see often.

Where do these guys go from here?

Tavares asked to fight more, and he deserves to. The KO loss to Shane Roller in his last fight was a big setback, but Tavares still has the ability to be an upper-tier lightweight. A bout against fellow UFC 134 fighter Ross Pearson would be a good test for him.

Honestly, it seems like Spencer Fisher has reached the end of the line in the UFC. He has 16 career fights and a 9-7 record, but he's just 1-4 in his last 5. If it's possible for him, a drop to featherweight might earn him one more chance in the organization.

Watch it now, later, or never?

Later. While the fight ended by TKO and had its moments, it wasn't super exciting and shouldn't take precedence over a plethora of other great moments from this card.
