What was the high spot of this fight?
Hougland's ability to quickly and seamlessly transition from the striking phase of the fight to the grappling phase of the fight made for several nice transitions even if he was unable to finish. Both men showed fairly well-rounded skill sets.
Where do these guys go from here?
Hougland earned a return invitation to the UFC. Not bad for a 30-something fighter who's been slogging away on the regional circuit for 9 years.
Walker is likely going to have to return to the regional circuit to pick up some wins if he wants another shot at the UFC. It won't be easy for the 31 year old who's been fighting since 2004.
Watch it now, later, or never?
No disrespect to these skilled and hard-working athletes, but this is pretty much the definition of a "safe to skip" UFC bout.
