How did these two get here?
Dennis Siver has really stepped up his game since a 1-3 stint in the promotion that ended over three years ago. Since getting the invite back, Siver has gone 6-1 and won four bonuses in the process. He was seen as a lame duck entering his UFC 127 fight against George Sotiropoulos, but he went out and proved everyone wrong while picking up a comfortable decision victory. He enters this fight looking to scratch and claw his way to the top of a very crowded lightweight division.

Matt Wiman started his UFC career as a 22-year-old at UFC 60, where he lost a spirited fight with Spencer Fisher. He was then invited to be a contestant on The Ultimate Fighter 5, where he eventually lost to Manny Gamburyan. He re-started in the UFC with four straight wins, but was given a tough fight with Jim Miller next and dropped a decision. He also lost his next outing to Sam Stout, but by that point he had won three fight of the night bonuses in a row despite the two losses. Since then he's turned it around and won three straight, the last being a dominant decision win over Cole Miller.
Why should you care?
Dennis Siver has some pretty good striking and usually has exciting fights. Matt Wiman is an animal that likes to maul his opponents. Something's got to give here, and I think you'll probably want to see what happens.
