What was the high spot of this fight?
When the decision was read and MMA fans everywhere realized that we were in for a bad night of judging. The action during the fight was good, but there wasn't one moment that really stood out.
Where do these guys go from here?
Elkins picked up a win over a ranked fighter, so his future at featherweight is looking good (for now at least). A bout against a good striker would be an interesting style clash too, but it might not make for the most exciting fight. The winner of the Nam Phan vs. Mike Brown fight at UFC 133 could be a possibility.
Dana White said that Omigawa would be given his win bonus and would definitely get another fight in the UFC because he thought Omigawa won. Most observers felt the same way, and this seems like a fair solution from the UFC president. Who he might get next is very hard to guess, but maybe when Cub Swanson's broken face heals, he could offer Omigawa an interesting challenge.
