Undefeated Canadian and TUF 11 contestant Nick Ring (11-0, 1-0 UFC) will meet James Head (7-1, 0-0 UFC) in Head's UFC debut. This middleweight UFC 131 bout will take place on the Facebook/Youtube portion of the undercard, which begins at approximately 5:45 p.m. ET/2:45 p.m. PT.

How do these two stack up?

Ring: 32 years old | 6'1" | 74" reach
Head: 27 years old | 6'1" | Unknown reach

What have these two done recently?

Ring: W - Riki Fukuda (UD) | W - Yannick Galipeau (SUB) | W - Chester Post (TKO)
Head: W http://forums.wrestlingsmarks.../mma/fighter/122643/charles-oliveira- Gerald Harris (UD) | W -http://forums.wrestlingsmarks.../mma/fighter/125022/duane-ludwig Bill Albrecht (TKO) | L - Jesse Forbes (UD)

How did these two get here?

Nick "The Promise" Ring has been an MMA pro for over 9 years now, but got his big break as a castmember on The Ultimate Fighter 11. His unique personality made him one of the more popular cast members, but after beating eventual TUF 11 winner Court McGee, he found out he would require knee surgery. He was out for 14 months, and returned to make his official UFC debut against Riki Fukuda at UFC 127. He picked up a highly controversial decision to remain undefeated.

James Head is based out of Lovato Jiu Jitsu in Oklahoma City, OK. He got his ticket to the UFC by defeating UFC vet Gerald Harris by unanimous decision in February. His only career loss came to Jesse Forbes in 2009.

Why should you care?

Ring's bout with Riki Fukuda was quite good, and this should be a fairly interesting battle.
