Donald Cerrone having something to say is nothing new. He calls out opponents regularly, he trash-talks the opponent some more once they've signed on the dotted line, and he even sullies their name if they bow out with an injury. While he was very respectful in his interview with Tatame earlier this week, you know that wasn't going to last long. Cowboy was on also recently on MMAWeekly radio, and he talked about Mac Danzig. And Cole Miller. And his current UFC 131 opponent Vagner Rocha. And, as usual, he's not exactly talking about sending them Christmas cards. Let's start with Danzig:

"Whatever your reason is for pulling out of the fight is, now you just put a target for me to come and get you. You want to talk s–t and now you get the fight and you get scared and want to pull out? P—y. That’s how I feel about that."

Next? Cole Miller:

They tried calling Cole and he said he was injured, too. That little b—h don’t want to fight either," Cerrone said. "I’ll just keep talking s–t and someone will step up, right?"

And Rocha:

"I don’t really know much about this guy. I don’t even know how to pronounce his name. I don’t want this guy to think I’m his stepping stone. ‘ Oh yeah this is my opportunity, this is my chance.’ No, sorry buddy. I appreciate you stepping up, I’m glad you took the fight, but I’m going in there to do what I’ve got to do, and get my hand raised. I’ve got big plans this summer," said Cerrone.

"I heard he’s got good Popovitch Jiu-Jitsu. Well, this isn’t jiu-jitsu. So I hate to break his bubble, but we’re not going in world championship jiu-jitsu. I’m going to go in there, he’s got to start in my world. He’s got to get me to the ground, we’ll see how it goes for him."

Rocha isn't the type of guy to keep quiet about things either though. He believes his opponent has weaknesses he can exploit:

"Look at his record; he might be a kickboxer, but he's no knockout artist," Rocha said. "I've seen him fight, and I've seen some of the holes he has on his feet and on the ground.

"He may think I'm just a jiu-jitsu guy, but that's just because I'm doing what it takes to win. I'm taking guys down and submitting them with ease because it's easy for me. But that doesn't mean I don't know how to strike."

And Rocha correctly assesses the situation at hand:

"A fight like this is not just a fight," he said. "It's a big marker. I'm not just fighting a nobody. I'm fighting somebody with a really big name. If I go in there and do what I do, who's getting catapulted to the top? Not him. It's me.

"It's a lose-lose fight for him. If he beats me, so what? If I win, then he looks like [expletive]."

Vagner Rocha might be relatively new to the sport with a 6-1 record, but he's for real and Cerrone should take him very seriously. This will be a contender for fight of the night in my eyes, and is actually a better fight than Cerrone/Danzig in my opinion. Saturday night will be an interesting one for the Cowboy.
