LAS VEGAS — “UFC 126: Silva vs. Belfortâ€￾ which took place Feb. 5 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nev., and featured a main event middleweight title fight between Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort, sold 9,667 tickets and earned the Ultimate Fighting Championship a live gate of $3,605,725.00.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission Executive Director Keith Kizer released the numbers to ProMMAnow.com (www.prommanow.com) on Tuesday afternoon.

There were only 18 tickets left unsold for UFC 126, and the UFC gave away 1,226 complimentary tickets.

Because the event was technically a sellout, Mandalay Bay opened up their Islander Ballroom for a UFC 126 Closed Circuit viewing party and charged $50 per seat. A reported 2,289 tickets were sold for the closed circuit viewing party, bringing in a total of $45,100.
