/MeltzerThere's nothing new on the Tyson Kidd injury (a spinal cord injury, essentially a broken neck) from last week. The impression I get is the injury is serious. Ever since the concussion lawsuits, WWE has been very secretive on releasing any information of injuries. The last we heard was that he may need surgery, which would be a lengthy absence, but that would depend on how tests were going. We do know that both Austin and Edge, both of whom have been around the block when it comes to neck surgeries, have called him for both moral support and experienced advice. We don't know he is getting similar surgery to what both went through, but it was definitely a possibility as of a few days ago, which would be more than a year out. Even though it appeared the 6/1 match in San Antonio against Samoa Joe was taped for Superstars, a WWE.comstory on the injury said it took place in a non-televised match, and acknowledged it being with Joe. We were told the injury was a complete fluke and not the result of dangerous execution of a move.
Well, if true: Fuck.
