Two questions

Hey, just re-found here so that's pretty good. I've got two quick questions;

1. I've heard that keygens don't work or rarely work or even can pass on trojans when you unrar/unzip them. Anyway the question basically is, is it worth trying to find a keygen or backdoor key code, or should I buy the student edition og cs3 extended for £140 give or take?

(I do have Student ID and stuff from uni.)

2. Now I'm newish to sig making, but I've got a quick question. On the banner at the top of the forums, you have an effect with lines going across. How do you do this effect in cs3?

if you were talking about the light blue curve on the letters of the darker blue, then here it is..

add a big circle with white color. Place it on top of the letters, then change the layer style to overlay or softlight.

Might give that ago, but the bit I was talking about is the lines that go diagonally. On the font its easier to see, I've seen peopel use the diagonal lines on their sigs I was wondering how you did it.

you mean scanlines? its easy, just make a new document with the size 3x3 then zoom into it 1600x then use the pen and add three dots (squared dots) diagonal, then save it as a pattern. then you can use it with the pattern stamp tool.

for your first question, just get teh keygen for CS3. its not worth the money...lol.

just make sure you have kaspersky. and if you dont, then make sure your hard drive is partitioned into at least 2 partitions..just incase you need to format.

Where's the best place to get the keygen from?

There's a ton of torrent sites and other blog and websites. But in having only downloaded one torrent since I got the internet about ten years ago, and only having ever downloaded wrestling media. I have no idea which sites are reputable and the one's which cause all the problems.

As for the antivirus software I've already got some which updates all the time, unless this kaspersky is better than norton, I have no idea to be fair.

yea, kaspersky is 2x better than norton. but if its updated and all, it should be fine.

the best place is...to get it from someone you can trust. like from here on the forum lol. but you'll need to be a VIP first...:shifty:.

btw, you really dont need CS3 to start making sigs. CS2 or even CS would do great...

Only problem with CS2 and CS is I can't find anywhere which sells it. Amazon is out of stock and Adobe don't seem to have it on their site now. So I'm probably still going to buy it as becoming a VIP here will take months and personally I only have 20 days left lol

Yeah its a good perk, but again it will take way too long and plus there's no guarantees I'd ever become one
