FLINT -- Two students are facing charges for allegedly attacking a teacher and a police officer during a fight that broke out at McKinley Middle School Wednesday.
The school was placed on lockdown after a fight began on a school bus then spilled into the building during the first hour of classes.
When parents heard about the fight from their students inside the building, they stormed the school, wanting their children to be released.
In total, 17 students and two adults were arrested. Out of that group, one boy and one girl face criminal assault charges. Flint Community School Spokesperson Bob Campbell tells NBC25 all 17 students involved in the fight will remain suspended until the investigation into the incident is complete.
