TV Ratings: Low 'NCIS' Wins Tuesday, 'Biggest Loser' Outperforms Fox Comedy Block
"Cougar Town," "The River," "Unforgettable" and NBC's entire lineup move up as others hit season lows.
CBS returned from encores for a Tuesday win among adults 18-49 (2.7 rating) and viewers (15.3 million) -- despite tentpole NCIS hitting a season low of a 3.3 in the demo. NCIS: LA tied its own season low of a 2.8, while Unforgettable saw a 11 percent jump with a 2.1 in adults.
The Biggest Loser got a 5 percent bump for its two-hour broadcast with a 2.2 rating among adults 18-49, enough to push NBC ahead of Fox's comedy block. Fashion Star rebounded slightly from its muddy debut. The reality series grew 13 percent over last week's premiere, notching a 1.8 in the demo and helping the network to its second-place finish of a 2.1 rating with 18-49-ers and 6 million viewers.
On Fox, all four comedies hit season lows, giving the network a 1.7 demo rating for the night and 3.7 million viewers. Raising Hope was down to a 1.6 among adults 18-49, followed by I Hate My Teenage Daughter (1.2), New Girl (2.6) and Breaking In (1.3).
Tim Allen's Last Man Standing hit a season low on ABC, dropping 14 percent for a 1.9 in the demo. Cougar Town managed to grow the same amount for a 1.6 in adults, and The River inched up to a 1.4 for its finale. Adding a repeat of Body of Proof, ABC brought in a 1.3 rating with adults and 4.8 million viewers.
New episodes of 90210 (0.7) and Ringer (0.5), both up, gave The CW a 0.6 rating among adults 18-49 for the night and 1.2 million viewers.
