A rematch from Ultimate Fighter season 11 is headed to Calgary as Nick Ring will face Court McGee on the UFC 149 fight card.
According to AMR Group when speaking to MMAWeekly.com, who represent Court McGee, the fight has been offered but no bout agreements have been issued yet for the July fight.
Following a win over Kris McCray to win season 11 of The Ultimate Fighter, Court McGee went on to victory in his next two fights in the Octagon as well, before staring down defeat in his most recent contest against Costa Philippou at UFC on FX 2 in Australia.
Now looking to bounce back, McGee will face off with the fighter who originally eliminated him from The Ultimate Fighter season 11 before a wildcard entry allowed him back into the competition.
Nick Ring defeated McGee on the show in a controversial majority decision, and now he’ll get the chance to prove the judges were right the first time around.
Ring was unable to continue on during The Ultimate Fighter season 11 due to injury, but came back to the UFC and has gone 2-1 since then.
Now Ring will get the chance to fight in his hometown of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and face off against old foe Court McGee in the process.
Only the second fight to be announced for the show so far, not sure if this will make it to the main card or not. Look for McGee to get back on track with a win here.
