- WWE.com is running an angle where they're saying WWE Hall of Famer Sgt. Slaughter was taken to a local hospital last night to undergo a CAT scan for "permanent brain damage" following his match with Randy Orton on RAW. Permanent brain damage? They push the Legend Killer gimmick a little more, this time with Slaughter's legend being "killed". Hasn't Orton already killed Slaughter's legend?
- Dustin Rhodes recently did an interview with In Your Head radio. The full interview can be heard at inyourheadonline.com. Here are a few highlights:
-- Dustin said that TNA is close to getting 2 hours of programming. He said Dixie Carter and Panda Energy have worked hard and stood behind TNA and are getting closer.
-- His storyline is going to be something psychologically intriguing, with great storytelling. He said at the next PPV, Hard Justice, we will see the debut of what he's going to be doing in TNA.
--He and Vince Russo are on the same page in TNA as far as what they're going to do with his new character. Much of what he did with Goldust in WWE came from Vince Russo. He and Vince do get along and he's very thankful for Russo going to bat for him in TNA and getting him on the roster.
--The latest issue of WWE Magazine features Triple H where he is under the guise of a "job interview" as the "guest editor." He answers a question that is particularly interesting when he is asked to explain a work-related issue that he thinks causes trouble. He answered:
"I see a million guys who think, "I'm the best of the new guys." Well, that's not saying much. Do you want to the best of the news guys or the best guy here? They sit back and they're waiting for somebody to make them a star. Nobody makes you a star. You make yourself a star. When the fans are going crazy for you whether positively or negatively then you have something to promote. No one made Triple H. I did. The problem is a lack of patience. Early on in my career, I was very impatient and wanted to be more than I was ready to be. But as time went on, I was glad I didn't get it so early, because I wasn't ready. Now guys come in the door and half of them don' have a clue. I see guys on TV, against the likes of Ric Flair and they simply can't capitalize in that. It you can't capitalize on working with one of the biggest stars ever in the history of this business, you're not doing something right. You need to evaluate what you're doing and stop blaming everyone else."
