WWE releases Smackdown Star

Written by: Mike Landau - July 03rd, 2008

WWE.com announced today that Trevor Murdoch was released from the company. The post reads as follows:

We have come to terms on the release of Trevor Murdoch as of today, July 03, 2008. We wish Trevor the best in all future endeavors.

I'm glad he's gone, never really got into him...Plus he was just plain out of shape, but I have to say I am kind shocked they let him go.

Wow, didn't see that coming. I was hoping for a Cade/Murdoch feud, but they didn't deliver. There really wasn't anything to do with Murdoch. He'll probably go to TNA.

Wonder what made them do it though...if anything they should have got rid of him before the draft...kinda a waste of a pick for SD now.

Yeah but that was before he was in WWE, now they will be all over him.

Anyways i agree with Spwan that it should have been before draft or not draft him at all because they wasted a switch for somebody who might have gained from it

I'm kinda suprised they released him after the draft. I'm sure SD will probably get someone to replace him, wasn't really much use for WWE with Murdoch since he isn't with Cade. Well hopefully he'll have a better career in TNA. lol at Travis' post

No he can't that move he done on heat a couple of times was way different from the Canadian Destroyer, it was like a sunset flip, good but nothing compared to the Canadian Destroyer. Releasing him will free up a little money...

Murdoch;s version of the Canadian Destroyer is like Lesnar's version of the Shooting Star Press >_>
