There is talk within WWE of reviving the Tough Enough concept. As noted earlier, Eric Bischoff also wants to do a 'Tough Enough' concept show on SpikeTV this Summer. We'll keep you posted on both as we get more details.

Wait so just because Eric Bischoff wants to do a Tough Enough type show WWE has to do one? I thought that was what NXT was for. Apparently not because Tough Enough was 10000000x better than NXT, even though it was still pretty lame. I will forever be a Maven fan though.

Tough is truely WWE shaping up true homegrown talent. Barrett and others are straight from FCW and have probably been in other promotions beforehand. Tough Enough guys come in without a gimmick. They just train to be decent in the ring. It isn't scripted or rigged. It's a solid training show that was way more entertaining than this crap. Wade Barrett could have easily just came to the main roster as well as Otunga and Danielson.

Tough Enough is done and over with. Theres no point of having it. Yes people wanna start a career in Pro Wrestling. And this is there big break by going on Tough Enough. But that show fell apart after the first tough enough. So i dont think itll do any good.

Not really. Tough Enough got bad when they turned into what NXT is today. Scripted and mixed into WWE television (the season Daniel Puder won). When it was just a reality show, it did fine. It's more real and believable and less ridiculous than doing obstacle courses or selling magazines every week. They actually learned the ropes and ins and outs of wrestling. It was just putting a camera in a wrestling school.

Tough Enough returning would be cool, but honestly I think WWE should just get rid of these type of shows and call guys up via developmental and get them over by having them debut with a bang.

^a la ECW? Apparently, that was way more detrimental to ratings than NXT.

I think they should keep NXT but make that show more into what tough enough used to be like.

The season with the Miz and Daniel Puder was complete shit. They had it every week on SmackDown! and it just got worse and worse as time went on. I would have bet that was the final nail in the coffin called Tough Enough but just because Eric Bischoff wants a show like it WWE has to counter, and who says WWE doesn't care what other wrestling promotions do?

I never really got into it. NXT is just something stupid. Thats gonna end up being cut off. And I always thought the same thing with Sunday Night Heat. It was all garbage. And ECW was sweet as hell but once Sandman and Sabu and all of them were gone. ECW plummitted downhill

Actually ECW got better. Pushing young tLent and giving us something RAw or SD wasn't...decent wrestling show. ECW was fucking epic. Maybe the only time I ever gave a fuck about Big Show and it gave honed some really good talents like Punk, Morrison, Swagger, Christian, Sheamus.
