Wrestling Observer editor Dave Meltzer said yesterday on the f4wonline.com message board that WWE had absolutely no hand in the casting decisions for the revival of Tough Enough. USA Network officials and the show’s production company, Shed Media Us, had full control on that aspect. The goal was to select models for the reality program.

What a dumb decision. WWE should at least have a say in who is selected so that they can pick some people who may actually have a chance of making it big in WWE. If they just select models with no previous wrestling experience it will be a massive failure. Hopefully the people making the casting decisions do have some common sense and select some people who do have wrestling experience.

Apparently Austin Aries wasn't cast for this, and that is just plain Blue. Why wouldn't a show like this benefit from having talented workers in it than can't chew gum and walk models. I'm beginning to have doubts that this show will be any good.
