Top WWE Executive Released

Sources are confirming that Ty Bailey, who worked directly under John Laurinaitis as Vice President in WWE's Talent Relations department is gone from the company. Word is that WWE released him from his contract yesterday.

Bailey had an NFL background before coming to WWE. He oversaw the developmental system and was in charge of booking talents as extras for TV Tapings, among other responsibilities. He had replaced Mike Bucci in the position.


Bailey had been with WWE since December 2005.

Not that big a deal, I have only heard of him because I listen to the audios on pwinsider featuring Mike Bucci. I guess it is news because he works under Johnny Ace and so they will need to find a replacement to work with him.

In a way yes. He was in charge of finding people for tryouts and such. Hopefully Bucci is good enough to get some good indy guys in, heard Gargano's on the hot radar.

Yeah he sounds pretty replaceable actually.

The story would be more interesting if there was a controversial reason he was released. Though probably not much more interesting.

Don't see the point in this thread, it's pointless news and guys like this that do backstage work get released all the time. Noone in the wrestling community has probably heard of him either. He's replaceable.

I do the same thing with wrestling related news stories that people would like to read, this is just pointless news that noone would care about nor know who he is. Yes a lot of dirt sheets can be false but they can also be true. I get most my news from sites like f4w, WZ and such which are pretty reliable.

But as always in WWE, plans do change all the time and especially at the last minute.

Well I was kind of interested in it since I knew the name and knew what position he held.

Would be nice if people didn't try to boost their post count by calling out others for boosting their post count.
