Who, in your own opinion with titles and wins/losses aside, is the best UFC Heavyweight in the UFC?

easily either Mir or Lesnar imo... honorable mention though for Sylvia

I think its too early for this topic. We need to see Lesnar/Mir fight just to give Lesnar a chance to prove it.

After Lesnar/Mir fight, I will vote for sure.

Of all time I would say Noguiera but right now as much as I hate to say it it's Mir. I hate the guy and I love Lesnar sooo much more but it's in stone right now. Mir is the only man to have finished Noguiera ever. If Lesnar beats Mir (hopefully) he will become the top HW in the UFC.

Frank Mir

I'm practically biased that Mir is the top heavyweight in the UFC currently becuase he beat Lesnar from before. And I will not change my decision until Lesnar vs Mir ends at UFC 100.

P.S. Fuck Brock Lesnar!!!

Frank Mir. As most know, I like Lesnar the best, but right now, he's not the best. If he can beat Frank Mir, then he can be considered the best cause he'll have beaten Couture, Herring, and Mir, which, in addition to being Champion, is pretty impressive. But as of right now, it's Frank Mir.
I have a feeling that by this time next year though, it'll be Cain Velasquez.

I am going with Couture because his fight against Lesnar was his first fight in over a year. That is a pretty decent excuse for losing. Plus in addition to not fighting in a year, he had to defend his belt, then on top of all that had to take down the mountain that is Brock Lesnar.

Couture will win against Nog, that's pretty much a lock.

^^At $250,000 a fight, I'd say it's worth making yourself look a fool for a few minutes though...

But on the other hand, if Couture was to call it a day, he would probably make just as much, if not more in the same amount of time from other business ventures so I see where you're come from.

As for top HW, pound for pound it's gotta be Frank Mir imo. The guy is by far the most talented guy in the HW division right now but that's not saying Lesnar can't beat him. Lesnar has enough strength and power in his XXXXL gloves to KO Mir but Mir is still a tough bastard and if Mir had the tank-like build of Brock, there is no chance in hell Lesnar could beat him.

Special Mention goes to Heath Herring too. I still enjoy watching Lesnar smash the shit out of shit out of him, it never gets old.

This is the kind of thinking I can't wrap my head around. He probably has lots of cash as is and this isn't pro wrestling people are not likely to remember your whole career but your last few matches. I know that when I think of guys like Ken Shamrock and Chuck Liddell I don't recall the great fights they had I see Shamrock losing to Tito Ortiz three times in a row and Liddell knocked the fuck out in his last two fights.

^^You make a very good point. Liddell, I can't say I really agree with because for everyone time he's been KO'd I can remember, I can also remember a brutal KO he's dished out. But most of my Shamrock memories are him getting beat by Ortiz so I'll surrender on this argument.

I personally, would like to retire on a high if I was an MMA fighter. Once I had made enough money and realised I wasn't getting any younger and my skills weren't as good as they once were, I would like to retire with a whole load of money and a real big reputation so I do have to agree with you now I think about it.

But on a final note, Shamrock can keep losing (if he doesn't pussy out of his next fight) 'cause I fucking hate the guy.

Shamrock is in fact a giant douche who doesn't realize that the more he fights the more of a joke he becomes.

Though I guess MMA is a sport like any other and you'll always have those hangers on embarassing themselves long after they should've walked away.

What makes me laugh is how he was scheduled to fight, Kimbo Slice, Bobby Lashley and some guy called Ross Clifton and out of those three fights, the only one he fought in was the one against this Clifton guy.

I would seriously donate money to the UFC if they signed Shamrock to a one fight contract with that fight being agaisnt Lesnar.
