Ok, with the recent death of Chris Benoit and some new stars emerging in the wrestling world, Ive just been wondering who you think are the Top 10 best technical wrestlers currently.

Ill give my list a bit later when Ive seen some others.....

EDIT- This can be from any promotion. Dont be biased and have all of them from 1 promotion, even though you may think I will, but I garuntee you I wont ;)

Not quite.

My list, no order except for the top spot.

10. Kotaro Suzuki
9. Rocky Romero
8. Naomichi Marufuji
7. KENTA
6. Austin Ares
5. El Generico
4. Claudio Castagnoli
3. Mke Quakenbush
2. Naruki Doi
1. Bryan Danielson

Danielson certainly deserves the top spot, but everything else is very loose. I was tempted to say names like Doug Williams, Jody Fleisch, and a bevy of Dragon Gate guys, but simply havn't seen enough material for those mentioned.

Just to be clear, technical wrestling to me is a pure emphasis on the "grappling" style of wrestling. Thus, a good portion of the individuals offense who is billed as a technical wrestler, should be taking place square on the mat. High flyers, who can be "considered" technical mostly won't make the cut (Ex. Jack Evans), as well as shoot style wrestlers (Ex. Low Ki). It may be a little too specific but, eh, whatever.

I cant honestly say out of all of those I have only seen Danielson and Aries wrestle. Obviously you can tell I only watch the major promotion and no indys cept for a few ROH matches every now and then. Anyways, like I said, Ill give my 10 when I put some thought into it.

Damn, my entire list was based on WWE,TNA and ROH. What can I say, I am guilty of not seeing indy promotions

Sorry, I didn't try to sound like an elitist asshole or anything, but that was just what came to my mind based on what I watch most. There's certainly guys in major promotions that can compete with who I listed, and I enjoy watching them.

If Regal still counts as a wrestler, then he has to be in the top ten. Finlay is in as well.

Two of the best technical wrestlers in WWE right there.
