TNA Officials recently filmed a Music Video for James Storm's "Longnecks & Rednecks" with country singers Montgomery Gentry and Cowboy Troy. The company wants to push Storm's song to country music stations to help build awareness for Storm.
Sounds phenomenal.
PWInsider is reporting that there's talk of some other talent departing TNA soon, although they haven't confirmed any names.
Two of the big names that are rumored are Rob Van Dam and Hernandez. It has been rumored that Hernandez is likely to finish up over the next couple of weeks while RVD is rumored to be done sometime in March. RVD cut an interview in late 2010 that implied that he would be done in 2013 so unless he has some sort of rollover contract or something, you have to take him at his word.
Bye bye, but that leads usk to the following:
According to the Wrestling Observer there is a new company policy within TNA as to how they are using talent.
The new policy is that if the creative team does not have any storylines for a performer, that they simply will not use that talent on TV. This is the reason that wrestlers such as The Pope, RVD and others have been off of TV for long stretches.
Hopefully great wrestlers such as Neese, Williams, Kid Kash and some other guys and girls won't be too unpatient and frustrated when they're time comes for TV.
To end the news with good news, Slammy will be nowhere near the suckhole called IZ.
On her Twitter, Dixie Carter wrote that she was excited about the location of Slammiversary. Also confirmed the date for the Anniversary PPV:
"I am very, VERY excited about what market we will be in for the Slammiversary pay-per-view on 6/10 to celebrate our 10th anniversary! "
Credit to TNAsylum and PWInsider for all the news and rumors.
