IM not trying to offend any WWE fans here on the forum, but why would you wanna watch RAW on the Jan 4th? Given the last few months of booking. Its just terrible. I hope the Bret Hart signing is not the reason you will give me as to why you will watch on Jan 4th. How will Bret Hart's involvement on RAW stop the rest of the show from sucking? I have tried to watch over the past few months after stopping for a while and its hard. You have same lot of people always fighting each other on RAW. Its the same feuds over and over. That has becoming boring to me as a viewer. TV PG is not doing any favors for the WWE. It has limited the product. It has crippled the product a lot. The lame gimmicks, and feuds, and downright embarrassing S**T also doesn't help the WWE either. For example(s), "Chris-Masters" Chest Flexing the world over with his chest on national TV. That blows my mind how a wrestling fan can just sit there in front of there tv and watch that crap and not turn the channel. Then Hornswoggle messing with DX and there merchandise, ect on regular basis. Not only is that embarrassing storyline/feud, but its a Merchandise ploy. Hornswoggle and Chavo feud. Who enjoys that? HHH and Shawn playing DX, an outdated gimmick, doesn't hold my intrest to be truthful. HHH and Shawn are to old to be playing DX. It looks silly. What about Santino dressing as a Drag Oueen. Santino's alter ego. Why do I need that? But the biggest problem of all has to be the Guest host. I would have to say. Why would a wrestling fan be entertained watching D list celebs host RAW and watch these Celebes shill there products?
With TNA that night your getting a rebirth a rebranding to say of the product. With the start of a new year there is the start of a new Regime for TNA. The old regime will fade into the masses, while making way for this new regime. Monday night Impact not only changes the landscape of professional wrestling on the night of Jan 4th, but also ushers in a new era for pro wrestling this night. TNA has the perfect mixture of TNA homegrown talents and TNA veterans to help makes this show a great one on that night. TNA will possibly have some new Interesting feuds. That possibility makes it more intriguing for me to watch. TNA storylines are usually more progressed and advanced for there product. Its more compelling to me. The new fans who might tune into the product might be treated to the highflying athletic X division on that night. A rare treat that sets TNA apart from the rest. Enjoying a match is not limited to the X division. With the proper time most of the TNA matches usually blow WWE matches out of the water
You also have some surprises TNA is waiting unveil on that night. (RVD Ric Flair, Ken Anderson?)
And, Bischoff is possibly working on trying to help change the inside look of the IMPACT ZONE to help appeal to more of those casual fans. Bischoff is also trying to help the product just in general. IM excited about this. IM excited to see the new storylines, the surprises, ect.
But, Hogan is the key to everything, though. As most of the WWE fans would like to think Bret Hart is the bigger deal coming out of Jan 4th. Well, that's just not true. Hogan is the biggest wrestler ever. I mean ever. IM not a Hogan mark. But he is. People don't under-estimate Hogan's drawing power of the wrestling fans and non-wrestling fans alike.
TNA sounds like the more exciting show to me.
So why watch RAW?
