TNA Vs WWE (Championship belts)

Which Titles/Championship belts are better/prestigious ?

Id take TNA on this on. To me WWE's belts look like little toys. Only the World heavyweight championship looks decent.

Which Titles/Championship belts are better/prestigious ?

Most prestigious? .....Surely that's one big fat non-starter?

Within reason, I'm not to fussed about how they look to be honest, but the one I genuinely don't like is the current IC title.... The old skool IC title was one of the best looking belts ever, whilst the newer one looks like it's made out of plastic (!) but more importantly it lost much of it's prestige thanks to being passed about like a toy in the years that followed it's replacement and has never truly recovered.

Adults want to win a tradional TNA title.

TBH if I ever train in wrewstling (doing MMA training soon) I will tell the trainer make me ready for TNA, WWE is dead and gone prestige wise

That couch is pretty prestige well at least to wrestling belts because thats probably dave millicans couch since i found it on his site. u know the dude who has been making championship belts for wwf and tna. yeah

Just for the record, I never did like the TNA's women's belt, looked like it was thrown together last minute. Does not fit in with the rest.

It did kinda fit in when they brought in the Legend's belt though since it too had a colored strap.

WWE belts are way more prestiegous (sp) than TNA belts. Though their X-division belt imo is pretty far up there. It's TNA's longest running belt, since they just got the TNA World belt and TNA tag titles. Their tag titles are pretty prestiegous too. I'd put them over the WWE's tag titles. But WWE's belts have more history than TNA's do.


As for looks, TNA titles look way better than WWE titles. I hate their Knockouts belts though, but it's not worser than the Divas title.

TNA Legends belt has only had 4 title holders in its history. 2 of them being within the last 3 weeks. Compared to say, the ECW title, its no question ECW's title division has been held by better champions in a more competitive atmosphere.

TNA Knockouts Title > Divas and Women's championships combined. If you asked this question during the time WWE had girls like Trish, Lita, Molly Holly, Victoria, Gail Kim, Mickie James and Jazz all gunning for the belt competitively, it would be WWE no question. But at this point the Knockouts title means a helluva lot more than either of WWE's current crapfest that has become the other belts.

X Division title compared to the IC and US titles? X Division has some great matches. But storylines seldomly make sense surrounding the belt, while even though IC and US title scenes have been total clusterfucks, I give this to WWE.

TNA Tag Titles Vs. WWE Unified Titles? Not even close. Don't even kid yourself with blind TNA hate. The Tag Titles in TNA present day blow out of the water the Tag straps from WWE. I find myself asking constantly "does WWE even have a tag division?" because the straps are that pointless.

And finally, now that we are all tied up two for two. (technically). It's time for the tie breaker, TNA World Title Vs. WWE and World Heavyweight Titles. Now this one depends on who you ask, because although TNA's world title has had some great matches with some great storylines surrounding the defenses. With title reigns that actually last longer, WWE's got the history and the production backing to make either one of their world title matches seem important in some capacity. However, WWE has suffered recently in the past year by hotshotting the belt back and forth to random guys to where nobody has even held either world strap for longer than two months. You see guys like Edge and Triple H with other 20 title reigns between them, Jeff Hardy being a 3 time champ, CM Punk being a 2 time champ, John Cena being however many times he's been champion, Batista getting a one day reign ect. ect.

So if we are taking recent day into account, and how much WWE has mistreated its belt as hot potatoes while TNA has actually taken time to make it prestigious, for now the TNA World Title wins. And TNA wins overall.

To say the TNA world title is more prestigious than either WWE one is utter smark-ish bullshit.

Recognised by millions worldwide as what is generally perceived to be THE world champion and headlining 20,000 seat arenas as the company's main man rather than being the flag bearer for a relative upstart of a company who struggle to even gain a miniscule % of the exposure that WWE can offer.


It's not a legit sport - It's entertainment(*) - There really is NO debate to be had.


(*What's more prestigeous for a rock band; playing an 80,000 seater stadium or knocking about on the fringes of the mainstream playing half-empty small clubs that wish they could appeal to more punters and possibly bigger stars?)

And for the rest of the titles, tag division, knockouts, those are simply better booked, but not more prestigious.

Prestige isn't something you measure by only taking into account a few years.

To be fair, I think Scoops' synopsis of the tag & womens title is tough to argue with, especially the tag belts...

Tag belts have meant virtually fuck all for the last 10 years and the Trish-era of Divas is just an exception to the 'rule'... Vince has all but never shown himself to give a shit about women's wrestling.
