TNA Wrestling’s iMPACT! to Air Exclusively Across Canada on Sportsnet 360, Starting in 2025

Press Release / December 23, 2024 / by TNA Wrestling Staff

TNA Wrestling’s Flagship Weekly TV Program to Air Thursday Nights on Sportsnet

TNA Wrestling has signed an exclusive multi-year agreement with Sportsnet to air its flagship weekly TV show, TNA iMPACT!, every Thursday from 8-10 p.m. ET nationally in Canada on Sportsnet 360, beginning on Thursday, January 2, 2025.

Additional programming to air on Sportsnet 360 includes TNA’s Xplosion, TNA in 60 and other TNA Classics from the 20+ year library, showcasing over 6,000 hours of unforgettable matches and moments.

Sportsnet is Canada’s No. 1 sports network. In addition to being the official Canadian NHL national multiplatform rights holder, and regional broadcaster for the Vancouver Canucks, Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers and Toronto Maple Leafs, Sportsnet also has extensive coverage of the Toronto Blue Jays, Toronto Raptors, UFC and much more.

“We are thrilled to bring TNA Wrestling to Sportsnet 360,” said Anthony Cicione, president of TNA Wrestling. “Anchored by our flagship weekly TNA iMPACT!, this partnership is a major step forward for TNA Wrestling as all our fans in Canada can now watch on one of Canada’s largest sports outlets.”

TNA iMPACT! will continue to air on AXS TV and TNA+ in the US, in addition to being distributed internationally on TNA+ and other leading broadcast platforms.

It’s gonna air the same time as it does in the US too. This is huge news.

Jimmy Korderes has turned hating AEW into his whole life huh lmao

But yes that's most likely true, that reasonable people will also acknowledge that there's an expectation for Canadian channels to have a certain amount of Canadian content which TNA fits. That's not confirmed as the reason TNA was chosen either, but when the reason isn't known, you should probably state all possibilities that are relevant

To be fair he did actually work at Sportsnet for a long time so he probably has connections

That's why I agree he's right, he just leaves out a key detail that he would know as a former employee because he's discovered the art of grifting lol

And he's not even actually right lmao he says it wasn't a "better deal with TSN" but if there was no deal then it was? Lmao clearly they just told AEW they weren't interested so AEW signed the...better deal. This is exhausting lmao a 3 year old could tell you there's multiple reasons TNA was more beneficial to Sportsnet over AEW and they'd frame it more accurately

And his Twitter timeline is just more attack and bait about it, so sad when people go this route. Hasn't mentioned anything about TNA being cheaper or a value as a Canadian company, just keeps implying it's bc AEW sucks and calling anyone that thinks he's a tool a whiner lmao

Oop, figured out what even started it all lol he's one of those that talks about Dave Meltzer owning a stake in AEW and Dave had this about the deal

We can confirm AEW had negotiations with Sportsnet, TSN and the Canadian version of the USA Network for deals and even though Sportsnet is the most popular sports station in Canada, they felt the two deals they signed were better financially. While not specifically detailed this would seem to indicate that the combined offer from TSN and USA was higher by enough that would offset the value of being on the stronger station. Besides Sportsnet being the more popular station, it’s clear Sportsnet was looking for more programming as they have added all the Impact shows while TSN only airs Dynamite.

So he has to disprove the evil wrestling journalist who's paid by Tony Khan lmao no wonder this is all over Reddit today. I'm so close to only interacting with myself and other real life people when it comes to wrestling, no more screens
