TNA: The Next Chapter
On 19th September 2009, the TNA owners met for an important meeting to decide what the next step was going to be to allow the business to step forward and compete with the mass flooding of the market that the WWE had recently started to do, introducing a fourth weekly show in the form of “Superstarâ€. Although, there wasn’t a mass agreement on the idea it was decided that how TNA would run and appear to the public would change immediately after the end of the live broadcast of the up coming Pay Per View; No Surrender.
The idea was simple; TNA would continue to runs a weekly show off Impact every Thursday. Alongside this though Xplosion would become a weekly broadcasted show on a Saturday, with a direct focus on exhibiting the X-Division and TNA Knockouts. Effectively Xplosion would take on the role of a Sunday Night Heat show, although with eventual plans of one day bringing Xplosion up to the playing fields of a second brand. Workers can expect themselves to find work on both shows, although workers involved in headline storylines are unlikely to actually compete on the Saturday show.
It was also made known that a number of changes would occur to the TNA roster over the next few months, meaning both arrivals and departures.
