Another update

November 2, 2013

With all the talk about people wanting to buy TNA Impact Wrestling, a new name has popped up saying he wants to buy the company, but this one will never happen. According to PWS on Nov. 2, Jake “The Snake” Roberts said he wants to buy TNA Impact Wrestling.

Roberts said that he has been watching wrestling since it started 12 years ago and he feels that they suck. He then said that, if he got the chance to run the company, he could turn them around in six months and end up beating Vince McMahon’s WWE numbers. He then guaranteed that fact.

Roberts has been working on sobering up and turning his life around with Diamond Dallas Page. While he had one slip up with alcohol, he has been drug free for a long time now and has finally moved out of Page’s “Accountability Crib.” Roberts is now living with his attorney and is still living a clean life.

The problem with The Snake wanting to buy TNA Impact Wrestling is that he said he would want to start an Indiegogo campaign to raise the money. This seems fishy, since it will take millions to buy TNA Impact Wrestling from Panda Energy and there is no way to raise that money in crowd funding.

Indiegogo is a platform that would allow Roberts to keep all the money donated, even if he can’t reach his goal. With the chances of reaching the goal to buy TNA Impact Wrestling almost nil on crowd funding platforms, donors would be padding Roberts’ pockets instead of saving TNA Wrestling.

Sounds completely Blue.

Is The Rumour Dead? Panda Energy's Janice Carter (Mother To Dixie) Says TNA "Isn't For Sale".

We've started.

ProWrestling.net have confirmed that Janice Carter, who as titled is the mother to Dixie Carter, sent out an "internal memo" to TNA talent as well as everyone on the payroll that stated very clearly that TNA IS NOT for sale effectively denying rumours everywhere.

This is however going to be a widely debated topic due to many different acknowledgements of a "possible" TNA sale.

ProWrestling.net are firmly sticking by their story that at least "one major name" has had talks with TNA management about buying a major part of the stock.

Dave Meltzer has also insisted that a number of people have a "wide interest" in TNA as a wrestling company.

Fighting Spirit Magazine's Brian Elliott also confirmed to us that the Carter's are looking to sell TNA and have been for a while.

The continued speculation of TNA is going to be a debate for the next few weeks as everything continues to emerge.

Big Rumour: Smashing Pumpkins Front Man Billy Corgan The Leading Candidate To Buy/Invest In TNA?
Posted By: Lee on Nov 02, 2013
Source: WrestleChat,

WrestleChat.net have reported in a major break that Billy Corgan, the front man for Smashing Pumpkins, is the leading candidate to buy or invest within TNA.

Brett Clendaniel, who runs WrestleChat, has spoken with two different sources about the current situation and told him that "talks with Corgan have reached a“significant stage” and the deal is “his for the taking” if he wants it."

Corgan, a massive wrestling fan himself, is noted for his running of Resistance Pro which is a Chicago based wrestling company. It's also well documented that Corgan knows alot of people within the industry.

The two sources were later asked if Corgan would be a good leader for TNA that he would give the company "an initial jolt" but didn't know about the long term due to Corgan having to tour and record.

This follows Janice Carter earlier today saying that "TNA is definitely not for sale" that was sent as an internal memo to TNA employees.

Jake's one sounds like most peoples dreams of buying the company but simply don't have the financial backing. Everyone says they could run it better, it's a case of having the money to get to that point.

Corgan would be interesting. R-Pro has been running along nicely for two years now and has got good production values. If I remember correctly, Raven has helped Corgan book R-Pro (or is at least an agent) so the most interesting aspect to me is the personel Billy would bring with him.
