In the North Carolina and Tennessee area for the PPV, Issues were reported throughout the night with the feed with "constant interuptions" and "missing key moments" of matches. Whether this is down to just weather or it was nationwide remains to be seen. However, people expressed their frustration via Twitter through the night:

Sorgatron:
About 20 people in the theater. Pretty cool to see it on the big screen. Feed issues throughout the night though.#notcool #lockdown

therafiki1:
Me and the 10 other ppl had a good time watching #Lockdown in the theater...at one point the sound went out and it turned into MST2K.

:lmao Fail. But that's what happens when you show it live I guess.

It gets even worse

pwinsider said:
There are problems with the Screenvision simulcast of the PPV in Salt Lake City. John Shepard sent the following....I don't know if this is going to be common in any other movie theaters anywhere else, but I was just told at the theater in Salt Lake that was showing Lockdown that there is a problem with the feed they were getting. Because of this, they scrapped the showing and were giving refunds at the door. I hope for TNA's sake it was just here and not national.

Can't see this theater ever signing up to this deal again, would give them bad publicity when it wasn't their fault.

Overall it doesn't sound like this idea worked for TNA and I can't see many other theaters wanting to participate again.

TNA failing once again.

I mean, who would actually go to the cinemas to watch TNA?

If it was ROH or DGUSA or CHIKARA at the cinemas I'd go, but reality that'd never happen here in Australia.

Called it.

Numbers from the first two posts doesn't make it seem like it'd be wise regardless of how smoother it may or may not have been.

In Australia they do it for WWE PPVs in some locations and they get a decent crowd but they only do it at very few locations to ensure that it fills up.

It was a decent idea but maybe they didn't promote it enough in the towns where the event was shown and having a bad feed is the worst possible thing that could happen for this event.

Yeah I been to it once, it was at HOYTS. Capitol Punishment last year.

Decent crowd went but never again, rather watch it live.

It was on at like 6pm here.

It was Vengeance at about 7pm. And yeah, I'm not that interested in them at the cinemas also unless they're live.

If it was weather related that is one thing, but other wise it is pretty inexcusable. In this day and age the technolgy should be there to get a decent live feed in a cinema.

Out of interest where does it say the numbers were bad for the screenings? I thought this report was just about the bad feed in some areas.

In the first post it mentions two people that tweeted that in one cinema there were 20 people and in the other there were 10 people. We don't know if they are stretching the truth a bit but from the sounds of it it wasn't too popular.

i pirate/stream all ppvs but i dont think i would pirate/stream even 1 ppv if they were shown on the big screen at the local theatre and they were the price of a regular movie ticket.something about watching on that huge screen just really appeals to me.hopefully they iron out the kinks and can show one here in milwaukee wisconsin.
