-- TNA set up a booth outside of the Citrus Bowl that showed a looped video of TNA footage. TNA staff members were giving out TNA t-shirts and postcards to fans as they headed for Wrestlemania. TNA also had a booth directly across the street from Thunder Field, where WWE had set up their final AXXESS event on Sunday.

-- Team 3D, AJ Styles, Kaz and Earl Hebner all showed up at the WWE AXXESS event in Universal Studios at different times over the weekend to promote TNA. WWE was very upset about this and portrayed it as TNA wrestlers leaving their own tapings to go visit with WWE.

-- TNA's setup promoting iMPACT! remained at Citrus Field until after WrestleMania ended and was even there after the WWE AXXESS event had left.

-- Several WWE officials were making fun of TNA's weak attempt to draw attention to themselves in Orlando. Despite the fact that TNA stars were seen in public with WWE stars, WWE officials were surprised TNA didn't try something more outlandish.

-- Team 3D's Brother Ray was at the Make-A-Wish event that John Cena appeared at.

WWE needs competition pure and simple. TNA is putting out a much better product right now. That being said im guessing most of the people attending Wrestlemania realize that TNA exists and probably even watch the show. Every wrestling fan I know regardless their preference watches all the shows from both companies. The only one I dont watch is ECW because im trying to keep my blood pressure down.

I guess it was a pretty weak attempt by TNA, but at least they tried. If 80 thousand wrestling fans are going to show up in our backyard, i guess it only makes sence to at least try and draw some attention.

^^I seen that too! haha! I thought that was great. And I agree 100%, WWE is in their backyard, they're invading their turf, so TNA did what they had to do, period. WWE is the #1 Company, and TNA has to do whatever they gots to do to knock them off, or atleast come close by making serious competition. And did WWE actually think guys like Edge would not try to meet with his friend, Christian, or Rhino? Same thing for guys like 3D, Sting, Angle, ect.

aahahhahhaha.

just like some other forums, they're simply not good enough to attract their own fans they have to go to the superior company/forum and steal some of their fans.

cheap...pathetic way, TNA. seriously..and its not gonna help much.

What a cheap way to draw viewers for your show, this was a really bad move by TNA. They could have done something constructive instead of setting up a little stall outside the Citrus bowl and selling T-shirts.

I'm sure that many WWE guys would be laughing at this poor attempt of stealing fans by TNA, they need to grow up man! :roflmao:

Yea nice try but I don't think that it is going to make much of a difference, WWE is the better product right now and more established.....their fanbase is reflecting that.

They should have dropped Samoa Joe in by parachute.

On his way down, he could have stolen the MITB breifcase and challenged Edge to a match right then and there.

After beating Edge in a squash, he would to defend and retain the title agaisnt Taker.

LOL.... Seein' him get caught on some kind of pole or mast on his way down; his fat ass just left dangling about a few 100 feet in the air throughout the event would have been all-time funny... Especially cos you known Vince wouldn't have allowed a rescue team up until after the show.

Remember the story over the weekend that TNA had planned to fly a plane over the Citrus Bowl during Wrestlemania to promote Impact? Not only did they not fly the plane, but apparently WWE prevented it from happening. Pro Wrestling Insider reports that WWE tracked down the company TNA had hired to fly the plane, and convinced them it wasn't a good idea. The company told TNA they couldn't fly due to the weather. As you might expect, TNA management was none to happy. On a side note, WWE threw out a TNA truck Monday night parked in the Amway Arena parking lot that was showing TNA footage.

Lol, WWE is trying so desperately to ensure that the majority of the wrestling fanbase doesn't learn of TNA. Why? TNA is putting out a great product now. Sure they do some stupid stuff, but our half a year of Hornswoggle pulling Bugs Bunny BS shows us that WWE isn't beyond that either. The only difference between WWE and TNA (aside from the Knockouts <3) is how many people know about either one. And were WWE to come out on the air and say "THAT'S RIGHT, WE'RE AT WAR WITH TNA IMPACT!", TNA's ratings would jump up to Smackdown's level almost overnight.

I think it's pretty dumb calling Samoa Joe "fat ass"....especially considering he can out wrestle, and beat any guy in WWE right now. Only guy whos is competition is Taker, and maybe Edge. Other than them, Joe is the best wrestler around (i dont watch that crap in Japan, this is America, nor do I watch ROH, or w/e its called) And when he gets that Title, he will be the best World Champion around, Taker a close second.

And I agree Roxxi, both companys have faults, but WWE's is much worse. Especially trying to entertain kids rather than fans who've been watching for years and years.

1. In wrestling the outcomes are predetermined. He will only be "beating" people if the match is booked that way. I thought Samoa Joe marks were supposed to be brilliant?

2. When is the last time Joe had a great match? Probably when he was in ROH or whatever its called.

The issue here is that TNA doesn't have any kids to market to in the first place. Its easy to cater to your 800 hardcore fans when they are the only fans you have.
