TNA in talks with Torrie Wilson, Global Title = Hardcore Title

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif] Hulk Hogan mentioned during his appearance this morning on The Howard Stern Show that Torrie Wilson has called TNA management looking for work.

I wouldn't mind them signing Torrie, that would mean they'd have the two hottest females in pro wrestling today, Velvet and Torrie, both on the same roster lol.

As far as the Global Title = Hardcore title thing, nobody really cares about the belt anyway so it wouldn't make a difference what they do with it. I'm hoping for them to just scrap the title but I guess that isn't in their plans

I'm not a fan of the Harcore title idea because it most likely means more unneeded dangerous bumps and spots and unprotected chair shots.

TNA will manage to diminish the credibility of that belt once more if they change it to the Hardcore title. Come on, the Legends belt was cool. Great superstars held it. They changed it to the Global title and fucked up everything now they want to change it again?

Dont change the championship, just add another belt. If they want to get rid of a championship get rid of the Knockout Tag Team Championship.

I like the idea of a hardcore championship, those were always entertaining matches and got guys more air time. Could work for guys like (Rob Terry, Homocide, Raven, Tomko) and could also have some funny reigns like Crash Holly with people like Jay Lethal and Shark Boy, and get major heat on guys like Orlando Jordan and Doug Williams

I seriously think the "hardcore" trend needs to be laid to rest in professional wrestling. WWE always sets the tone for the wrestling world. The majority of fans look at WWE as the standard, minus the PG rating. That is why whatever promotion compared to the WWE looks bad, because they aren't doing what WWE is doing. TNA trying to resurrect hardcore wrestling is just another attempt to achieve success another promotion had that went against the WWE. The same idea relates to their "ECW Stable." It is a terrible idea that went out years ago and has no relevance or need to be in the wrestling world of today. Although different is good, repetition isn't.

They should just get rid of the Global title completely. Doesn't having a World title make a Global one moot? I never understood that. Even when it was called the Legends title, it was needless. Legend of what - being an employee of the eternal #2 company?

No Hardcore title, either. Whose bad idea was that? (I'm looking in your direction, RVD.)

TNA only needs 4 titles - World, X-Division, Knockout and the World Tag Team. 'Nuff said.

I don't want a Hardcore Title, the X-Division should be good enough for insane type wrestling and TNA really doesn't have enough "hardcore" guys to warrant a title of that nature.

I do like the Global title though but it does need to be better handled. The Global Title is a good way to get guys that aren't main eventers and aren't suppose to be in the X-Division *coughs*DougWilliams*Cough* to have a title and/or way to set up feuds. So far it's kinda working for Rob Terry. I still think he needs to go but at least it makes him more interesting than just trying to force him into a meaningless story line.

This is exactly correct. Hardcore wrestling is no longer a predominant style, no matter how many people want to continue living in the ECW days.
