- There are a few big situations to watch as 2008 comes to an end, in that several top wrestling names could be jumping ship between WWE and TNA.

There is some smoke to the rumors of Mick Foley joining TNA as people close to the situation believe it is a strong possibility and TNA has began working on merchandising ideas for Foley. Mick can't be signed to TNA until September 1st and with all the No Surrender TV tapings done already, he won't be appearing on TV. Foley probably won't be appearing at No Surrender either as Jeff Jarrett and Sting are set to appear on the show and Foley would just be overkill.

Team 3D's contracts are set to expire soon and within TNA, everyone is betting that they stick around but some time off and a return to WWE for Team 3D is a very good possibility.

Kevin Nash is another interesting situation. It's believed that after Nash being removed from a planned main event with Samoa Joe and his personal problems with recent booking, the former World Champion is unhappy. Clearly the two sides have sent signs to each other that they can live without the other. We do know that Nash isn't booked to wrestle Joe at Bound For Glory and as of now, is not scheduled to wrestle at all on the company's biggest show of the year. No word yet if there would be any interest from WWE on Nash, but he is good friends with some key people in the company.

Awesome Kong signed a one-year deal with TNA about ten months ago and had spoken up at meetings in the past about how happy she was with TNA and said she was glad she didn't pursue an opportunity with WWE. WWE did have interest in Kong at one point but decided not to sign her because of her look and felt that a female wrestler like her couldn't get over in the United States. With WWE realizing the success of TNA's Knockouts division and seeing what they have done with Kong, she also could find herself on the WWE roster if things worked out.

Christian Cage's contract with TNA is also expected to be up soon and he also has been critical of the booking in TNA. Christian was burnt out on WWE's schedule when he signed with TNA a few years ago and was almost guaranteed a Heavyweight Title run, so that was a plus. One of the key factors in him leaving WWE was he would have time to do some acting work but after one movie there hasn't been much of talk about that so his motivation for leaving WWE could be gone. Christian had the chance to leave TNA before he signed another deal but chose not to. Right now within TNA, he is considered the most serious potential departure because the feeling is there is a big angle waiting for him in WWE and if he's offered it, there's a small chance TNA could keep him. A top spot with Edge on SmackDown could be a possibility. While he pissed some people off in WWE when he left, they have expressed interest in having him back. Christian told people in WWE he was taking time off and that he wasn't going to TNA, even though he had already signed his deal. There's a chance that WWE could forgive Christian for business decisions and have him back, if he wanted.

Ric Flair is also technically a free agent, but a long shot. TNA has planned to use Flair's name in the Sting storyline over the next few weeks, but that's just TNA being TNA, dropping names. It is a possibility the two sides could work something out for some kind of appearance, but there are no talks or anything at all like that right now. If Flair is under the impression that he can return to WWE with no hard feelings one day, then he probably won't do anything with TNA. Flair working with TNA is indeed a possibility, but a long shot.

Regardless of who goes where, there's always that advantage that TNA has of providing some of the older stars an easier working environment with a chance to make some nice money. On the other hand, WWE pretty much guarantees them bigger money, a bigger spotlight and that feeling of being back in a company like WWE again.

i would definitely like to see christian coming back to the wwe and same with the dudleys and i think theres a good chance both of them go there. idc to much about awesome kong or keven nash although i wouldnt mind seeing them back with the number one company... wwe might just do it to fuck over tna which would be funny...

Haha, if they all came to wwe, tna would actually die. But I don't think it will happen. i think it would be best for both companies if they all resign with TNA.

the only one that would be really good for the wwe to sign is christian i think because he can come back and actually main event. a christian vs edge feud would obviously be awesome and id like to see christian vs ortan or punk or something...

I would cry irl if Christian returned to the WWE (WITH TOMKO!) =/. Then proceeded to get in a spot with Edge, that would fucking REEK OF AWESOMENESS.

But, wasn't it said he signed like a 3 year deal with TNA not too long ago?

If this is true, I only believe Christian would jump ship. WWE would obviously want him back besides, being uppermidcard in WWE is WAY more better than midcarding with Rhino in TNA.

I would love to see Edge/Christian for the World Title on Smackdown...even a possible HHH/Christian...or maybe have Edge and Christian team up to take on Taker...

WWE could really use the Dudleys right now to get Team Priceless over...a good win over the Dudleys in a table match would propel Rhodes/DiBiase to the next level. The Dudleys could also bring some life into the tag division. I would like to se all 3 of those guys come back.

I don't like the Dudley's in ring shit...but they have the name value, and that could really help them and other teams get over....and I don't think Orton will be too pleased if Bubba is signed w/ the WWE again...even though he said he had no hard feelings. Here's to hoping that WWE at least gets Christian.

I think everyone will resign except Nash. I don't think Kev is very happy with the company atm, so he will probably end up leaving. 3D have been rumored to be heading back to WWE for a year now, and tbh I just don't see that happening.

I just heard a radio interview with Brother D-Von on Tuesday and he said he is not going to leave TNA and neither is Bubba and that they are very happy with the company. So idk. But like most people i would mark out to see Captain Charisma back in WWE.

I'd mark the fuck out if Christian jumped ship and came back to WWE. A spot on Smackdown! and an angle with Edge would reek of freaking awesomeness!

Oh I love Cag in TNA that was the best thing for him but if he goes back to WWE I would love to see him heel. Maybe not joining Edge but maybe against him and have like a Heel Vs. Heel feud and who know maybe Cage can get the WWE or World Title opportunities in WWE he should have got before he left. I mean he was on of the top Up[p[er-Mid Carders but never really got that Main-Event push in WWE and after everything he has done in TNA i could see it happening now

WWE should buy out all those guys and keep them juuuust long enough for TNA to fold and then release them again. It's pretty obvious that TNA doesn't have what it takes to be WWE's competition, if they can't do it with Kurt Angle, Booker T and even home grown talent like Joe, they will never do it. period. Kill it off already Vince!

Fuck team 3D, they would only cause huge problems backstage with everyone and after all the dissing they do on Impact (and only them) they would not be wanted nor are they really needed. Christian Cage going to TNA was AWESOME for the first two years or so but he is doing NOTHING now, teaming with Rhyno and doing nothing with him sucks so him returning to WWE would be GREAT! he could make me watch SD again if he was their as well as have ALOT of funny moments with Edge, or if he were to go to RAW he could have some great feuds and funny moments! I won't even consider him going to ECW because, you know...Awesome Kong should stay in TNA imo, with Gail Kim gone now she is the most ober knockout imo, definite this time. She wouldn't suit WWE anyway, I would only enjoy her feuding with Beth if anything in WWE. Kevin Nash needs to retire, even though he doesn't wrestle much anymore he is getting more boring by the second so him just not being signed by anybody would be good for him and enjoyed by MOST of the fans. I am not sure what to think with Mick Foley, it seems as though he will be going there if they already have Merchandise ideas for him, I don't really know why he is going there, money most likely and he isn't needed in WWE much. Whatevers best...
