Why does WWE refuse to push Christian? I legitimately don't understand how the creative team see a guy like Christian on the roster, with all his talent in the ring and his very impressive mic skills, yet they continue to bury him in the midcard. I understand he's getting an Intercontinental Championship shot this Friday, but he shouldn't even BE in the IC Title picture in the first place. We waited over a year for them to take him off ECW and onto one of the two major brands, finally it happened and they did jack shit with him on RAW. He gets drafted to Smackdown! and people are thinking "finally, a push for Christian!" and yet again, it doesn't look like they have anything for him so far.

With WWE committed to pushing new/younger stars right now, Christian should be much higher on the pecking order than he currently is. I think now is the time to give The Instant Classic (I know that was his TNA name but I love it) a main event push and solidify him as a top star, he has the talent to do it all he needs is the writers to get behind him.

And yes, although this might shock some people considering my recent attitude towards TNA, its safe to say TNA Christian > WWE Christian unless something drastic happens very soon.

He's on Smackdown with literally almost no main event talent. I'm sure his time his coming shortly. They just used him to give Edge his heel rub... I'm sure that's not been forgotten.

^ Sure, but after looking at what WWE has planned for Summerslam which pretty much reveals the direction they're going from now until then, it leaves me thinking they have nothing big planned for Christian.

Besides, they shouldn't have waited this long to finally give the guy a chance, (if they even do) he's way better than this

Christian left WWE cause he didn`t get pushed. In TNA CC became World Champion. Then in TNA he had to be a member of the Main Event Mafia and he quit. Christian returned to the WWE and won the ECW championship.then he drafted to raw. then drafted to smackdown (current ) Now WWE can either push him or lose him.

I agree definitely that Christian was a lot better as Christian Cage in TNA. In WWE he has definitely not be used right at all since he returned. If he was given the creative ability to do what he did in TNA then he would definitely shine a lot more.

TNA is where Christian honed his skills in the ring. His offense grew immensely from 2006-2008. All for the better mind you. I don't know the whole story about him and MEM but if he were in it then it might have worked.

If the occasional IC reign is good enough for Jericho it's certainly good enough for Christian.

As for him not being used right since returning to WWE.... Yet again, IWF on the whole have goldfish syndrome.... Up until recently C was the best booked and longest reigning champ in the 'E and in a position to have good/great matches on a weekly basis.

No wonder WWE books like their appealing to moron's with short attention spans if even the so-called smarks can't accurately remember what they did a matter of 2 months ago. :sigh:

As Noum' says, he's just landed on a 'threadbare' SD. If he still hasn't had a crack at the WHC by the end of the summer maybe THEN the moaning will be justified.

The ECW title was probably the best booked title since Mark Henry had it.

I think that maybe because of the TNA title when Christian held it was looked at as the equivilant to the mid-card titles in the WWE's eyes. Obviously somebody who was a upper-mid carder at best when he left wasn't going into the main event right away. He needed time to really get over with the WWE fans as a potential main eventer, I honestly think that his ECW title reign was the best booking of A champion in the WWE in 4-5 years tbh.

Edit- Like noumenon said, I think him going to Smackdown is going to be the start of his potential main event run, possibly a WHC run in the Summer/Fall?

When you think of it that way, Christian has been equally successful in the WWE, but I have to say I loved Christian in TNA, that was way back when I actually tuned in to TNA, I think Christian had much better feuds in TNA and that is what made his TNA run better. In WWE Christian has only had two relevant feuds, they were with William Regal and Jack Swagger (I don't count Tommy Dreamer) and as far as I can remember they just consisted of Christian taking the piss out of them. Christian was too dominant in ECW to really show whether he can compare to his former self and has not made any impact on Raw or Smackdown since returning so I agree, TNA Christian>WWE Christian.

^^^Christian/Dreamer was an entirely respectable program - Decent matches, the 3-way phase with Swagger + nice storytelling.

Christian is just about to kick 40. The guys isn't getting any younger so I think it is long overdue to put some world title gold on Christian. I just want him to be a heel though.
