Ok...hear me out. Before I get called "mark" or "omg you ride TNA's dick" or some shit like that, just read what I have to say first...
As you all know...i used to be TNAisWrestling until Hard Justice where I got pissed off about Joe losing in a predictable screwjob to Kurt Angle. After like 2 or 3 monthes of watching ROH exclusively (along with changing my name to ROHisWrestling) I decided that I didn't think ROH was the right promotion for me...here is why.
Yes, I enjoy great wrestling...as a matter of fact, I love watching awsome wrestling matches but the problem is, I need to CARE about who is going to win. It just seemed that with Ring Of Honor, they just threw together a bunch of mid card matches and then 2 important ones and then we have a show. It almost seems like their was too much wrestling and not enough storytelling. You see, with me...I want a wrestling promotion to have great storylines and awsome wrestling, ROH had the awsome wrestling but I just couldnt connect with the storylines. Sure, their are some fueds that are memorable like Briscoes/Steen and Generico and Nigel/Dragon, but it just wasnt working for me. I ended up forcing myself to watch it just so I can still call myself an ROH fan, then I gave up.
TNA on the other hand, is a wrestling promotion (bad booking or not) that has storytelling AND great wrestling. I feel like whenever I order a TNA PPV I am going to get at least one match of the year candidate in it. Sure, it was the same with ROH but in ROH I didnt care as much about the storylines. Their also wasnt enough star power to keep me interested, while in TNA they have Angle, Sting, Joe, and others that I am huge fans of (mostly Joe). Anyway, the point of my thread is that I dont think TNA and ROH are comparible. Its like comparing the New Jersey Devils to the Lowell Devils (their minor league affiliate). Why? Because one company is a global promotion and the other is an indie. I think of ROH as the minor leagues of Wrestling (that is not an insult btw) and I think they have great young stars that can make it in the main stream companies. TNA on the other hand, is global...they have the star power, the..well.."money", and the experianced workers. Thats why I decided to switch back to TNA, and I think they have improved ALOT since that PPV that pissed me off..Hard Justice
I switched my name to chessarmy because it was the name I used when I did wrestling talk on youtube, and I was the most viewed wrestling talk show on there so the name has some prestiege lol. And, everyone I know online calls me it so I needed to bring the name onto IWF
anyway, thats my thoughts...if you think I wrote too much, then press the back arrow on the top left corner of your screen, but if you want to argue/agree then your comment is appreciated
